SHARJAH: Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, who is also the Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) chaired a meeting Tuesday, at the Office of the Ruler in Sharjah.
SEC discussed several key governmental issues and reviewed infrastructure development projects, including the development of various fields in order to provide a decent life to UAE citizens and residents in the emirate of Sharjah.
SEC discussed the report of the Central Department of Finance in Sharjah on the expenditures and revenues of the general budget of the Sharjah departments for the year 2018, compared to the expenses and revenues approved for 2017.
The Council thanked the Head of Central Department of Finance in Sharjah and the budget team for their efforts to prepare the budget. The General Secretariat referred the budget to the Sharjah Consultative Council, SCC, in accordance with the legal procedures followed. The Council also discussed the proposal of a draft law for the year 2017 on the Environment and Protected Areas Authority, EPAA, in Sharjah, which aims to reorganise the objectives, powers and competencies of the Commission, which was submitted by the SCC.
Sultan Ali Bin Butti Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the SEC, reviewed the comments of SCC on the on the items and articles of the draft law and its terms of reference.
