A Calgary music teacher has been rearrested, now facing new sexual abuse charges against another underage girl.
Christian Sarile, 27, was arrested last week on six charges of sexual assault, sexual touching and breaching the conditions of his release, including that he not be allowed to be in contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Sarile was pursuing an education degree and had done a practicum at a Calgary school, teaching kids ages nine to 14-years-old, during which he supervised students on several overnight trips.
At a court appearance on Wednesday, the prosecution notified provincial court Judge Paul Mason the plan is to have Sarile's bail revoked.
In May, police laid 12 sexual assault charges against Sarile who was accused of molesting three underage girls.
After a preliminary inquiry earlier this year, four of those charges were dropped and he was ordered to proceed to trial on eight remaining charges relating to two alleged victims.
Sarile is accused of using social media apps to communicate with his alleged victims, whose identities are protected by a publication ban.
Through their investigation, police found their suspect had been meeting underage teens online, using the screen names "Josh" and "Brandon" and posing as younger than he actually was, according to police at the time of his first arrest.
In April, a 13-year-old girl told police a man had asked her for sexual favours.
Two more victims were subsequently identified.
Sarile will be back in court next week. It's not yet known if his lawyer will apply for bail.
