T-Mobile acquires Denver's Layer3, aims to disrupt TV industry

T-Mobile USA is buying Denver-based Layer3 TV in a deal to create a new TV service that the wireless carrier promises will give it an advantage over larger competitors such as AT&T. Layer3 and T-Mobile companies announced the deal Wednesday morning. Terms were not disclosed.
