Manchester United news: Danny Murphy reveals when he wants Man Utd to win
DANNY MURPHY admits he wants Manchester United to lose every game they play.

Murphy became a cult hero at Liverpool for scoring three winners against Manchester United at Old Trafford during his Anfield career.
The 40-year-old grew up as a Reds fan and admitted he hated United with a passion because he had to.
Murphy says that hatred has diminished somewhat as he has got older but he still takes huge delight from seeing the Red Devils lose.
“Playing at United used to do something for me,” Murphy told AskFans.

“It used to give me an extra, I don’t know, something in me.
“You’re brought up with it aren’t you, you’ve got to hate them.
“But you lose the hate as you get older, you do. Even now when I watch Manchester United, I mean I want them to lose, I do I do, I’m being honest, I love it when they lose.
“But when they’re good, I respect that because of the quality, I do respect it.”

Murphy says that despite the rivalry between United and Liverpool, there was respect between the players during his playing days.
“There was a really healthy respect, there really was,” Murphy added.
“They were the benchmark, you know Scholesy (Paul Scholes), Becks (David Beckham), (Ryan) Giggs, they were unbelievable.
“They were the benchmark for the young lads like me and Stevie G (Steven Gerrard) and Carra (Jamie Carragher) and Michael Owen coming through to try and compete with them.”
