THE festive season is here and for many people, it heralds a period of guilt-free indulgence and some time off work.
But for Scottish football clubs, December triggers the starting whistle to a frantic few weeks of battling the conditions and clocking up the miles due to a fixture list that is bursting to the seams ahead of the winter break.
While the players, coaches and managers will be kept busy, those behind the scenes also have some thinking to do as an important period approaches.
