HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) --
An accident involving a Houston ISD school bus caused a major rush hour backup on Highway 288.The wreck happened just before 6 a.m. and blocked several inbound lanes at MacGregor for about an hour. Traffic was backed up beyond Beltway 8 as commuters tried to make it into Houston.
The district says no students were on the bus at the time of the accident.
