Bangladesh Premier League: Chris Gayle hits record 18 sixes in final

West Indian Champ Chris Gayle showed his hard-hitting match on Tuesday in the Bangladesh Premier League. The player has made a new record of hitting most sixes in an innings of T20 in the BPL final match. He became the first batsman to clinch 11,000 runs in the small format of cricket.

In the final match, Chris Gayle clinched 146 runs off 69 balls against Rangpur Riders at Sher-A-Bangla National Stadium. This score helped him to get total runs 11056 in T20 matches. This left-handed Caribbean batsman made a record of hitting 18 sixes in his innings.

In year 2013, he clinched of 17 sixes in T-20 matches against Pune Warriors in the IPL matches.  This helped him to get total 175 runs.

Not only this, Chris Gayle also completed 20th century in T20 which is a world record. Till now, no other batsman has clinched double century in this format. Michael Klinger, Luke Wright and Brandon McCullum all have seven-seven hundreds in the list and they are in second place.

During this momentum he also completed a century of sixes in the Bangladesh Premier League. Not only this, his innings is also the biggest in T20 final. Rangpur Riders defeated Dhaka Dynamites by 57 runs to win the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) title for the first time.

The West Indies batsman made an unbroken partnership of 201 runs for the second wicket with Brendon McCullum (51 not out). This partnership took the match score to 206 runs for a wicket.
