Holly's Corner to close
Chef Holly Hambright has announced the closing of Holly's Corner, 842 N. Central St. The last day of service will be Friday, Dec. 29.
In a news release Hambright states that she chose not to renew her lease at the iconic Corner Lounge location so that she can be "laser focused on growing and perfecting Holly's Gourmet's Market." That eatery is at 5107 Kingston Pike and has been a mainstay in the Bearden area since 1978.
Hambright said staff from the Central Street location will move to the Kingston Pike restaurant. So will some of the Central Street specials. In other words, you can get your Ricky Ricardo fix at Holly's Gourmet's Market.
"To our very loyal patrons, we appreciate the support you have given us at Holly's Corner. We see many of the same faces every single day and we will miss you. But please visit us at Holly's Gourmet's Market for many of the favorites you've grown to love along with our creative specials," she said.
