5 DU students get Sharothi scholarship

Five meritorious students of Dhaka University (DU) awarded “Sharothi Scholarship” for securing the highest CGPA in 1st year BS Honors examinations.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor professor Md. Akhtaruzzaman distributed scholarships among the students as the chief guest at a function held at professor Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Class Room on Wednesday.

Provost of the Jagannath Hall Prof. Dr. Asim Sarkar presided over the function while founder president of Sharothi professor Dr. Pial Kumar Das addressed as the special guest.

The recipients of scholarships are- Pranto Das (Statistics), Sanjoy Chaki (Pharmacy), Tanmoy Kumar (Geography & Environment), Amit Roy (Computer Science & Engineering) and Pial Saha (Biochemistry & Molecular Biology).
