Cops file chargesheet in Kidney racket, 14 made accused

In connection with the infamous kidney racket with suspected international links allegedly operating from a hospital in Doiwala, Dehradun police have submitted charge sheet in the court. In the charge sheet, 14 persons have been made accused while 63 are presented as witnesses. Police claimed that they have recovered sufficient evidences related to the case in course of investigation to nail down the accused in the court. However, the son of the racket mastermind Amit Kumar is still at large with police hunting for him. 

Notably, Dehradun police had arrested the racket mastermind Dr Amit Kumar from Haryana on September 16.  Besides, several others like Jagdish Kumar, Anupama Choudhary, Abhishek Sharma, Rajiv Choudhary, Dr Amit Kumar, Dr Jeevan, nurse Sarla, Arun kumar Pandey, Dr Ashok Tyagi, Sri Niwas Chauhan, and driver Pradeep alias Billu have been arrested so far in connection with the kidney racket  busted on September 11. None of those arrested have  managed bail from the court so far, police said, adding that Akshay, son of the  prime  accused Amit Kumar, is still on the run. A case has been filed.
