Aid to slain gangster Nayeem’s aide: Deputy Inspector General suspended

HYDERABAD: Manthani sub-jailer deputy jail S Sudhakar Reddy, who is currently working on attachment at Kalwakurthy sub-jail, has been suspended by Hyderabad range Deputy Inspector General B Saidaiah (Hyderabad Range) for helping slain gangster Nayeem’s associate Pashan Srinivas.Sudhakar Reddy, who was then working as deputy jailer of Warangal central prison, had connivance with the under trial prisoner Pasha Srinivas alias Pasham Seenu, who was a close associate of gangster Nayeem. He allowed Pasha to continue the illegal activities from the jail. 

The deputy jailer also exhibited gross misconduct, indiscipline and also failed to perform the duties.Earlier, following the allegations and inputs from the intelligence officials, a report was submitted by Rachakonda police commissioner and Warangal range DIG (Prisons). Sudhakar Reddy has been suspended from Tuesday, until the completion of disciplinary proceedings, DIG said.

A massive fire broke out at a biscuit factory near Bairamalguda in the LB Nagar limits, Hyderabad in the early hours of Tuesday.The fire department was alerted immediately by the locals who noticed the flames and the fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames.With the fire so massive, two more fire tenders were called in to bring the situation under control.
