Transcript: Half of Voters Think Sexual Misconduct Claims Against Trump are Credible

President Trump is calling the allegations of sexual misconduct leveled against him “fake news,” but a new poll finds 50% of voters think the allegations are credible.

The Politico/Morning Consult poll also found 29% think the allegations aren’t credible, while 21% say they don’t know. 62% of Democrats think the allegations are credible, while Republicans are split. 38% believe the women, 38% don’t.

The poll was conducted as past accusers have re emerged as part of the Me Too movement.

Trump has called them quote “false accusations and fabricated stories of women who I don’t know and/or have never met.” People Magazine challenged that claim, publishing an image of him with one of the his accusers he claims he never met.

More than 100 lawmakers are calling for a congressional investigation, while several others including Senator Kirsten Gillibrand are calling for him to resign.

Trump hit back saying the “lightweight” senator would come to his office “begging” for campaign contributions and that she “would do anything for them,” a tweet some have labeled as sexist.
