Mi nimum standard for that is ability in three areas. Conection with underworld, ability to steal tax payers money and escape from law.

Cabinet approves minimum marks as they are not educated enough to understand the standard marks.

Government should take its hands off from higher education. Even in India only school education upto grade 10 is free. Beyond that they are on their own. The government supports by way of low cost student loans and thats it.

Do you mean, all these doctors who pass out with public funds will have to pay for their own studies? WOW! we will see less strikes and more work, but we will also see more private hospitals as in India.

Most people who wrote the comments here do not know previous minimum requirement for medical faculty. It was 3 simple pass in the GCE A/L for Chemistry, Physics and Biology in one sitting. According to new minimum qualification for entry into medical education, no one can enter state medical faculty with 3 simple pass in the GCE A/L.
