OVER 300 TAKES PART IN IGL SAKSHAM CYCLOTHON AT GURUGRAM
Vinay Pratap Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram leads Saksham Cycle Rally Gurugram organised by Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) with participation of over 300 cycling enthusiasts, along with Dr Narhari Banger, Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, ES Ranganathan, Managing Director, IGL and V Nagarajan, Director (Commercial), IGL, to promote the habit of cycling leading to pollution free environment.
HAL HAS WORLD CLASS FACILITIES, CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO BE IDLE, SAYS BHAMRE
Dr Subhash Bhamre, Raksha Rajya Mantri (Minister of State for Defence) assured HAL that work load for Nashik will continue to flow even after Su-MKI manufacturing and production activities conclude in next few years. “HAL has the world class facilities and given the successful integration of BraMos on Su-30 MKI, 40 more aircraft will undergo such integration. Besides this, HAL can shift part of its LCA manufacturing at Nashik and there is possibility of FGFA work happening at Nashik”, he said at Public Private Partnership (PPP) Summit under Make-in-India held at HAL Nashik on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, T Suvarna Raju, CMD, HAL said the company is keen to encourage PPP in all its activities and as a major step, it would like to offer the indigenous helicopter ‘ALH Dhruv' (Civil version) for manufacturing to select Indian Pvt Companies through Transfer of Technology. Udayanth Malhatra, CEO & MD of Dynamatic Technologies Limited (Bengaluru) symbolically handed over 100th Ship set of Su-30 MKI Assemblies to Raju in the presence of Dr Subhash Bhamre.
STEELMIN CH BIRENDER SINGH REVIEWS PERFORMANCE OF NMDC LIMITED
Union Steel Minister, Chaudhary Birender Singh visited the Head Office of NMDC Limited at Hyderabad on the last week. The Minister reviewed NMDC's performance in a meeting with N Baijendra Kumar, IAS, CMD; Dr Narendra K Nanda, Director (Technical); PK Satpathy, Director (Production); Dr TRK Rao, Director (Commercial); DS Ahluwalia, Director (Finance); Sandeep Tula, Director (Personnel), NMDC; Saraswati Prasad, Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Steel; Sunil Barthwal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel and Senior Officials of NMDC. Chaudhary Birender Singh appreciated NMDC's performance and achievements and also said that the inaugural function of the Diamond Jubilee Year has become a bench mark for all PSEs.
ICG CO-HOSTING CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP WITH RECAAP INFORMATION SHARING CENTRE
Indian Coast Guard (ICG) is co-hosting the Capacity Building Workshop with ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre in New Delhi from 11-12 Dec, 17. While inaugurating the Workshop, DG Rajendra Singh, PTM, TM, Director General of ICG, who is also the Indian Governor to the ReCAAP ISC Governing Council, recognised the efforts of ReCAAP ISC towards developing the co-operative framework to address the menace of piracy and armed robbery and facilitating information exchange between various stake holders. He also highlighted that capacity building is one of the most significant pillars of cooperation in the ReCAAP. The guest of honour, Malini Shankar, Director General of Shipping appreciated the significant role played by the ICG and ReCAAP ISC in keeping Indian Waters safe from the menace of piracy and armed robbery. Masafumi Kuroki, Executive Director, ReCAAP ISC in his opening remarks recognised the steps taken by Indian Agencies including ICG to ensure safe and secure seas for the seafarers.
CISF TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING FREE OF COST TO PERSONNEL WARDS FOR JOB
Under the guidance and direction of OP Singh, Director General, CISF, a unique training initiative was taken for training and gainful employment of CISF wards. The matter was taken up with the Ashok Institute of Hospitality, ITDC (Ministry of Tourism) for conducting ‘Food Production Course' for the wards of CISF personnel as a welfare measure. The institute open-heartedly accepted the proposal and organised training programme on ‘Food Production Course' under ‘Hunar Se Rozgar (HSR)' scheme at centre of excellence, Hotel Samrat Chanakyapuri, New Delhi from 5th Sept to 6th Dec, 2017 for the wards of CISF personnel. During training they were provided with stipend, free boarding & lodging facilities and with two sets of uniform. After successful completion of training, 10 wards have been selected for advance training and employment by renowned firms like SagarRatnaRestaurants Pvt. Ltd and Bikanervala Foods Pvt Ltd.
INDIANOIL GETS PLATTS GLOBAL ENERGY AWARD FOR INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP
Indian Oil Corporation (IndianOil) was adjudged the best company in the category ‘Industry Leadership Award - Downstream' of the 2017 edition of the prestigious Platts Global Energy Awards. The awards, widely recognised as the Oscars of the energy sector, were given away at a gala awards event held in New York last week. Responding to the prestigious international recognition, IndianOil Chairman, Sanjiv Singh, said that the Corporation's all-round excellent physical and financial performance in the year 2016-17, coupled with several Marketing and R&D initiatives launched during the year, has helped IndianOil bag the coveted global award in the downstream Oil & Gas sector. The Awards receive more than 200 nominations each year from over 25 countries. The event is attended by more than 450 energy industry executives.
SCOPE HOLDS COMMUNICATION SUMMIT
SCOPE, organised the 2-day SCOPE Corporate Communication Summit 2017 which was addressed by the Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, who also presented the SCOPE Corporate Communication Excellence Awards to public sector enterprises. The Minister also released the Special Edition of KALEIDOSCOPE on Corporate Communication in the presence of large number of CEOs, Directors, Corporate Communication Heads of PSUs and media.
