Train strike : 16 office trains being operated

Railway Main Control Room says 16 office trains were operated this morning (12) despite the ongoing strike action by trade unions.

A spokesperson said that the intercity train to Jaffna also left the Fort Railway Station this morning.

He also said attempts will be made to operate as many trains during evening rush hours for the benefit of the commuters.
