Coronation Street’s Keith Chegwin who was famed for his cheeky chappy personality died yesterday aged 60 and as tributes continue to pour in, evidence of one of Keith’s more random career choices has surfaced.

Many people may have forgotten, but beloved Keith took the hosting helm of Channel 5 game show Naked Jungle in 2000.

The controversial show caused a huge reaction when it aired due to its unusual concept.

The premise of the programme was all about celebrating naturism and saw the star completely emerge himself in his hosting role, seeing him get his kit off.

The one-off ep was launched to tie in with the 50-year anniversary of British Naturalism.

As well as Cheggers, all of the contestants appeared in the buff.

The reaction-provoking TV programme was an adult spin-off of children’s TV show, Jungle Run.

The shocking show, later provoked conversation in the House of Commons.

When reflecting on the show, Keith later admitted it was the “worst career move I made in my entire life.”

Speaking in 2007, he revealed: “If I could turn the clock back, I would.

“When they phoned up and said they were doing this programme, everyone’s forgotten that bit, I thought it would be a laugh.

“They said it was going to go out at 11pm on a Tuesday night, and I seriously thought that nobody would watch it.

“Oh my God was I wrong!”
