‘Citizen Buddy’ launched to simplify civic services

HYDERABAD: To check corruption and provide efficient services to citizens in transparent manner, the Telangana Municipal Administration Department has initiated series of measures through Citizen Services Monitoring System.Municipal Administration Department, Director, T K Sreedevi said that where there is no transparency, there is corruption and no accountability,  DMA has taken series of measures to check corruption in all the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and decentralise the citizen services.

CSMS is an initiative of DMA that aims at providing transparent and time bound services to citizens. This system works as bridge between the municipal staff and citizens in handling the service applications and grievances effectively. It also helps in redressing them within specified time while alerting the stake holders for effective monitoring.The DMA also launched an android app called ‘Citizen Buddy’. The app simplifies transactions for as many as 23 services, includingassessment of property tax allocation of door numbers and also for transfer of property ownership.
