NAOGAON: Police conducted a drive and detained two members of Neo-JMB, an offshoot of banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), from Atrai upazila of Naogaon Monday (December 11).
The detainees were identified as Ripon, 32, and Md Parvez Gaddafi, 20, from Nowduli and Bhortetulia villages under the upazila respectively.
Atrai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mobarak Hossain told Banglanews that tipped-off they conducted the drive at Kashiabari sluice gate area and detained the duo at around 8:00pm.
They were conducting a meeting secretly.
Some jihadi books were also seized in the drive.
They are listed Neo-JMB members, said the OC.
A case will be field over the incident, he added.
