Jaipur (Rajasthan), December 12: The tenth grade students of a Rajasthan Government School, were left scratching their heads during their exam, as a passage on the question paper on the life of present Prime Minister Narendara Modi, was riddled with spelling mistakes.

The incident took place at Jaipur’s Government School, when the students of the 10th standard, who sat for their English paper in the half yearly exam, received a passage on Prime Minister Narendra Modi accompanyed with questions full of spelling mistakes.

The question paper included a passage about the life of Prime Minister Modi and other such details, with accompanying seven questions.

The question paper has a passage which describes Narendra Modi as the first PM who was born after independence and about him joining RSS. “At the age of eight he joined RSS and at the age 17 he left home. He became RSS pracharak…” says the passage, which is full of spelling mistakes.

On being questioned for the mistakes, Jaipur’s District Education Officer Ratan S Yadav downplayed the situation to ANI,  saying that there might be few printing mistakes.

“Maybe there were few printing mistakes. We have a committee which reviews matters like these when it is brought to their notice,” Yadav told ANI.

“If there are lots of mistakes,  we give bonus marks to students, and if mistake is committed by the press we have a provision for cutting back their payment,” he added.

He also said that this cannot be termed as an ‘unusual incident’. “There might be some mistakes but I will not say anything before committee gives a report,” he added. (with inputs from ANI)
