MTA / BTA (m/f) for the Two-Photon Microscopy Imaging Facility

This full-time position provides the opportunity to join our research team and work on several projects related to the topic "Trafficking of Immune Cells in Diseases and Development". The ideal candidate (m/f) is highly motivated and experienced in cellular/molecular biology, microscopic imaging and in vivo applications.

Your Duties:

- Supporting researchers in the preparation and conduction of intravital microscopic ima­ging including mouse handling (safety levels S1 and S2)
- Assistance during image acquisition using a two-photon microscope and classical laser scanning confocal imaging (on a ZEISS LSM880)
- Supporting students with sample preparation for ex vivo microscopic imaging (e. g. immunofluorescence analysis of tissue cryosections) and for flow cytometry
- Weekly microscopy system checks and basic maintenance (two times per week) including laser alignment, cleaning the systems, exchanging light sources, general check of system parts
- General laboratory maintenance and organization including ordering (reagents, consumables etc.)

Qualifications:

- Professional training as technical assistant (m/f) (BTA, BioTA, CTA, MTA), laboratory assis­tant (m/f) or equivalent qualification
- Fluent in German and good English language skills
- Previous experience with mouse manipulation is a plus
- Previous experience with microscopy
