NEW DELHI: Most of the FMCG stocks, including ITC (down 1.84 per cent), Tata Global Beverages (down 1.27 per cent), United Breweries (down 1.22 per cent) and Marico (down 1.13 per cent) were experiencing selling pressure in Tuesday's trade.

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 1.09 per cent down at 26,418 around 11:10 am (IST).

Shares of United Spirits (down 0.69 per cent), Godrej Consumer Products (down 0.68 per cent), Dabur India (down 0.64 per cent), Colgate-Palmolive (India) (down 0.63 per cent), Emami (down 0.63 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever (down 0.39 per cent) were also seen in the red.

Jubilant Foodworks (up 1.07 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (up 0.94 per cent) and Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare (up 0.17 per cent) were the three components in the Nifty FMCG index that were in the green around that time.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 57 points at 10,265, while the BSE Sensex was 145 points down at 33,310.

Shares of Punjab National Bank, Vedanta, SAIL, State Bank of India, ITC, Ashok Leyland, Reliance Industries, GAIL, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Idea Cellular and Hindalco were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange.
