SANGAREDDY: A toll gate employee was seriously injured after he was hit by a speeding car at Muthangi toll plaza at the Outer Ring Road gate. Though the incident took place on Saturday night, it came to light on Monday only after the video of the accident, which was captured in the CCTVs installed in the toll plaza, surfaced. The employee tried to stop the car which was going at a high speed without stopping at the toll gate to evade payment of toll fee.

In the video, the employee Sukanth Ghosh was seen rushing towards a speeding vehicle passing through the emergency exit gate though it is not in the list of the category of vehicles that are allowed to pass through the emergency exit.

The driver of the vehicle didn’t stop and hit Sukanth Ghosh at a high speed. Ghosh flung into the air and fell on the car and later on the ground leading to serious injuries. Patancheru CI Prabhakar said the vehicle has not been identified yet.  Based on the complaint filed by the toll plaza staff, a case has been registered and investigation is on.
