Police have formally charged two Calgary men who were arrested Monday in relation to the 2016 killing of Harsimran Singh Birdi.
The 20-year-old was found dead in an alley in the 9700 block of Harvest Hills Link N.E. on April 7, 2016.
Police said his death was the result of a targeted attack.
Abdullah Mela, 21, is charged with second-degree murder.
Nadar Abdulbaki, 21, is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Mela is set to appear in court on Wednesday and Abdulbaki has a court appearance scheduled for Friday.
