After successfully getting the Hyderabad Metro Rail project chugging from Miyapur to Nagole last month, the state government is now mulling a Monorail project for the IT corridor, from Madhapur-Gachibowli belt up to the new IT parks proposed at Kokapet.
As of now, the 72-km Metro Rail covers only part of the IT corridor, up to Shilparamamnear HiTec City as part of Corridor III. The government has also proposed to extend the Metro Rail from Shilparamam up to Raidurg in the near future.
“The state government is contemplating a Monorail project for the IT corridor. A feasibility study has already been taken up,” Telangana municipal administration minister K Taraka Rama Rao said at a function on Monday. Read More…
