Chelsea got back to winning ways wth a 3-1 victory at Huddersfield following the weekend’s shock defeat to West Ham.

The Blues were forced to play without Alvaro Morata due to injury but still managed to breeze past David Wagner’s side.

However, despite the comfortable scoreline, Antonio Conte admitted he was not happy with his side’s inability to keep a clean sheet.

The Stamford Bridge club were undone in the second minute of added time by a Laurent Depoitre header and Conte wants mistakes like that stamped out.

“I think we must be very happy for the performance because from the start of the game we showed a great personality and desire to win the game against a very good team,” he said.

“They beat Manchester United and City struggled to win.

“To win this way is very important as it improves our confidence after a defeat against West Ham.

“The last nine games, Chelsea won seven, drew against Liverpool away and lost at West Ham.

“I think we are doing a great path but there is a team [Manchester City] that is doing a special thing. We stay there with the rest.

“We have to continue in this way to try to play this football.

“My players enjoyed to play this type of football to have this great combination play between our strikers.

“I saw a lot of positive things, but one negative was to concede at the end and we must improve in this because it is important to keep clean sheets, for the goalkeeper and the team.”
