Swedish telecommunications equipment firm, Ericsson has conducted a consumer survey that looks at what consumers believe the future of technology holds. The survey has thrown up some interesting findings.
The survey does highlight some current technologies which are in their infancy. Google has already showcased an augmented translation device, which while in its infancy is using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve itself every day. Drones are already taking over the skies, but can automated aerial personal transport become a reality, the prototypes are already in development. Some of the ideas might seem a bit far-fetched, but technology is evolving atv a fantastic rate. Google AI has given birth to its own AI without any human intervention.
Virtual Reality, which was a bit clunky a few years ago has progressed in leaps and bounds. And as electric cars take to the roads, battery technology is evolving at a furious pace. The future may not what we all want it to be, but it is changing and fast.
