There’s a Growing Suspicion An Asteroid That Flew By Earth Could Be An Alien Probe

A few scientists say there is a possibility that an asteroid that just flew past Earth could actually be an alien probe.

Newsweek says that Harvard University Astronomer, Avi Loeb is searching for potential signals coming from the oddly shaped asteroid known as Oumuamua or 2017-u1.

And what’s even more strange is that the asteroids shape bares a resemblance to ideas being toyed with by Breakthrough Starshot.

An operation that plan to send a probe to Alpha Centauri in the search for alien life.

Loeb contacted Breakthrough Starshot funder, billionaire Yuri Milner to use the groups radio telescope in the hopes of checking for alien communications.

But Loeb isn’t saying 2017-u1 is anything special "I would say that probability must be very small that ['Oumuamua is] artificial." "But at the same time there's always the first, and that's why we should check without the prejudice." Loeb says if there is any signal, then there is something unusual going on and said that anything suggesting the asteroid is anything more than that would be immediately reported.
