The Cabinet congratulated the Government and people of the Republic of Iraq on the occasion of the liberation of their country's territories of the last stronghold of the terrorist Daesh (ISIS) group, praying to Allah Almighty to bestow security, stability and prosperity upon Iraq and its people.
The Cabinet also expressed the Kingdom's condemnation of the bombing targeted a subway station in New York city, renewing the Kingdom's stance rejecting terrorism and extremism in all their forms and manifestations and whatever their source.
The Minister stated that the Cabinet welcomed the resolution taken by the Human Rights Council at its emergency session in Geneva on the systematic and grave violations against human rights in Myanmar, particularly the Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine State, expressing the Kingdom's appreciation of the Human Rights Council for convening this special session on the situation of the human rights of the Rohingya Muslims and to the countries that supported the Kingdom's request for holding this session.
On local affairs, the Cabinet valued the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' patronage of the honoring ceremony of the winners of King Khalid Award 2017 in its three branches of "Development Partners", "Excellence of Non-Profit Organizations" and "Responsible Competitiveness", describing that as an embodiment of his support and encourage for the national non-profit institutions to continue the fruitful humanitarian, social and economic efforts in the Kingdom.
Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awad further said that the Cabinet was briefed on the issues listed on its agenda and took the following decisions:

The Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on cooperation in the field of marine fisheries And fish wealth, which was signed in the city (Bogor) on 2/6/1438 H. corresponding to 28/02/2017.
