Uptick in demand lifts chana futures 1.16 pc

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Chana prices went up by 1.16 per cent to Rs 4,088 per quintal in futures trading today as participants built up fresh positions after uptick in demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in December rose by Rs 47, or 1.16 per cent, to Rs 4,088 per quintal with an open interest of 1,650 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in chana futures to fresh positions created by traders following pick-up in demand in the physical market.
