
James Patrick O’Donnell and Dr. Lui Deleon Caleon were married Dec. 9. Diana Moran, a Universal Life minister, performed the ceremony at the Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas.
Mr. O’Donnell (left), 30, is the manager of student support services for KIPP New Orleans Schools, college preparatory public charter schools in New Orleans. He graduated from Stony Brook University, summa cum laude, and received a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. O’Donnell is the son of Julia L. O’Donnell and Donald W. O’Donnell of Patchogue, N.Y. His father is a psychologist for the North Shore TBI Services in Greenlawn, N.Y. and United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island in Commack, N.Y. His mother, who is retired, worked in the medical billing department for the office of Dr. Albert C. Esposito in Patchogue, N.Y.
Dr. Caleon, 35, is a fourth-year resident physician in the combined Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics program at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and received both a master’s of public health in health communication and a medical degree from Tulane in New Orleans.
Dr. Caleon is the son of Priscilla D. Caleon and Roberto C. Caleon of New Orleans. His mother, who is retired, was a third-grade teacher in the Philippines. His father, who is retired, was an electrical engineer for the URS Corporation, an engineering design and construction firm in New Orleans.
The couple met in New Orleans during Mardi Gras of 2013.
