
Showtime will premiere the seventh season of its Emmy Award-winning series Homeland in February, the network said Tuesday.
The series, which stars Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin and Elizabeth Marvel, will premiere Feb. 11, the network said. The political drama series picks up from the previous season in which Danes’ character, agent Carrie Mathison, looks to secure the release of 200 members of the intelligence community arrested after an assassination attempt on the President (Marvel).
Homeland is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and is based on based on the original Israeli series Prisoners of War by Gideon Raff. Executive producers of the series include Danes, Alex Gansa, Howard Gordon, Chip Johannessen, Lesli Linka Glatter, Patrick Harbinson, Michael Klick, Ron Nyswaner, Gideon Raff, Avi Nir and Ran Telem.
