Haryana is home to three large Amazon warehouses or fulfilment centres (FCs) that feed the crucial market of NCR and some of the northern states.

"We have three large FCs located in Haryana. Those FCs largely cater to Haryana, NCR and surrounding states," said an Amazon spokesperson.

"Typically we place an FC on customer demand and wherever there is seller density." Haryana accounts for more than 11,000 sellers on Amazon's platform and the company said the merchandise offered by sellers in the state for immediate delivery has grown more than six-fold compared to last year.

In September, Amazon opened its 250,000 sq ft fulfilment center in Jamalpur, outside of Gurgaon with close to 1.2 million cubic feet of storage space.

The ecommerce giant has two other warehouses in Haryana in Sonipat and Tauru. Amazon currently operate 41 fulfilment centres in 13 cities in Maharashtra, Telangana among other states.
