Chamber Orchestra of Sarasota makes its debut

New ensemble performs at Church of the Redeemer

The new Chamber Orchestra of Sarasota presents its premiere concert, “Winter Splendor,” on Wednesday in the Chapel of Church of the Redeemer. The 13-membrer orchestra, led by music director Robert Vodnoy, will present a program of seasonal music with a winter theme, including Vivaldi’s “Winter” from “The Four Seasons” and Wayne Barlow’s “Winter’s Passed.” Vodnoy is director of orchestral activities and professor of strings at Northern State Unijversity in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Sean O’Neil is the concertmaster.
