DUBAI: By using Etisalat line to send an sms (Giving) to 1110, you will have one Dirham deducted from your credit, and you would have “made huge contribution to the Ajman-based Human Appeal International (HAI), an organisation which is key in supporting education within and outside the United Arab Emirates.

“Dhs1 presents a chance for many people to afford giving in a simple way. To us this is not little, but it makes the process simple, and never underestimate any good deed,” appealed the Executive Director of the charity, Khalid Abdul Wahab Al Khajah; “what you may regard small is very huge and contributes to relieve burden from someone.”

He said that giving charity to the needy “has become so simple; so easy, but the results remain too great.”

Al Khajah said the initiative has come from the desire of HAI to find a continues contributions and donations even if it’s a small amount.

“HAI believes that giving can be little but permanent since the goodwill is there! So we started presenting this initiative to afford the chance to donate from everyone to all of the categories by deducting only one Dirham daily.

“The initiative is not temporary, its continuous throughout the year and everyone can participate on this charity at any time they like.”

On the initiatives handled in “2018” which is named “The Year Of Zayed”, he said they have carried out several, “but what we can share now is the initiative named ‘Zayed Charity Complex’ which includes two high schools (girls and boys)  plus a complete Hospital together with a mosque and  Sports Fields in Khartoum, Sudan which all cost Dhs3,700,000.”

A few weeks ago, HAI Board of Trustees which is headed by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi supported Ajman University Graduates Fund with a contribution of Dhs200,000 to make “ease the way forward for the graduating students whose educational expenses have hindered their journey,” according to Al Khajah.

The contribution was an “addition to the amount provided by the HAI annually to support students at Ajman University in the framework of its keenness to participate in all efforts to support students and promote scientific knowledge.”
