CHENNAI: A division bench of the Madras High Court has reserved orders on the plea from DMK organising secretary R S Bharathi to re-open its earlier writ petition seeking to ‘purify’ the voters’ list of RK Nagar. The bench of Justices T S Sivagnanam and K Ravichandrabaabu reserved the orders on Monday after listening to arguments of petitioner’s senior counsel P Wilson and Niranjan Rajagopalan, counsel for the ECI. Wilson told the judges that the ECI was giving a premium to illegality. When the ECI itself acknowledged that more than 45,000 bogus voters were on rolls and undertook to delete them, it had actually not deleted multiple and bogus voters and over 5,000 bogus and multiple entries remain, he said.
