Real Madrid plan shock Mohamed Salah swap deal
22.45: Real Madrid are preparing to swoop for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, in a deal which could see Galactico Lucas Vazquez going in the opposite direction, according to reports.
According to Spanish publication Don Balon, Zidane has identified Salah as his top target.
The Frenchman was keen on securing the services of Inter Milan froward Mauro Icardi but the price he was quoted was apparently ‘too expensive’.
Real president Florentino Perez is willing to use Vazquez as a bargaining chip in the deal.
The winger has scored three goals in 21 appearances at the Bernabeu this term.
However, it looks highly unlikely Reds boss Jurgen Klopp will want to lose his top goalscorer.
Kenny deal
22:01: Jonjoe Kenny is set to sign a new deal at Everton until 2022, according to the Daily Star.
They claim the 20-year-old will pen a new deal with improved financial terms.
Kenny only signed a three-year deal just over 12 months ago but Everton have moved to secure his long-term future at the club.
Courtois future
20:35: Thibaut Courtois’ future at Chelsea will be decided next summer after a potential transfer merry-go-round, according to Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague.
Balague wrote in his Sky Sports column: “Courtois is waiting to see what happens with everyone else.
“So, for instance, if Kepa goes to Real Madrid, what will happen to Navas? Is Oblak going to go to PSG?
“It's definitely going to be an interesting summer for goalkeepers but it is too early to say what will happen with Courtois.”
Balague on Coutinho
18:55: Philippe Coutinho will not join Barcelona in January but things will change in the summer.
When asked if Coutinho will join Barcelona in January, Balague wrote in his Sky Sports column: “Liverpool's stance is the same, meaning right now they don't want to negotiate with Barcelona.
“They are not sitting down with Barcelona and are not setting a price for him.
“In the summer, it will be a different story, but they have no intention of selling him right now.”
Salah scoops award
18:00: Away from transfer news, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been crowned BBC African Footballer of the Year for 2017.
Among the other contenders were his team-mate Sadio Mane, Chelsea’s Victor Moses, Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Red Bull Leipzig’s Naby Keita.
Salah said: “I have always followed my way, and I want everyone in Egypt to follow my way.
“Since I left Egypt, in my mind, I want to be the best Egyptian ever.
“I work hard and try to be different from them."
Wilkins on Ozil and Sanchez
16:50: Sky Sports pundit Ray Wilkins says Arsenal should have sold Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil last summer.
“I would have sold Ozil in the summer, the same with Sanchez – it’s embarrassing,” he said.
“I find it quite sad that the club have allowed Wenger to take the stance of not selling them, potentially costing the club £120million in fees that they’re now not getting.”
Janssen latest
15:21: Fenerbahce are keen on extending on-loan Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen's stay
The 23-year-old has netted twice for the Dutch outfit already this team and has impressed the coaches.

Leeds agree Ideguchi deal
13:45: Leeds have agreed a deal to sign Gamba Osaka midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi next month.
Elland Road chiefs struck an initial £500,000 deal plus add-ons for the Japan international last Friday, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
He will be immediately loaned out to a European club because he does not meet work permit regulations.
Ideguchi has been earmarked for next season but was snapped up now to allow him to continue playing.
Real Madrid step up chase for Alexis Sanchez
13:30: Real Madrid are set to increase their efforts to try and sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.
The Chilean is out of contract at the end of the season, along with German star Mesut Ozil, and it is widely reported that both players will leave in the winter window.
It is thought the Gunners hierarchy want to cash in on their two talisman instead of losing them for free at the end of the season.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon have suggest that Real are preparing to step up their interest in Sanchez.
The news comes after their number one target, Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi, became ‘too expensive’.
FA investigation
13:00: Manchester United and Manchester City could be in hot water with the Football Association following the tunnel bust-up at Old Trafford yesterday.
The Football Association have launched an investigation into the incident by writing to both clubs for their observations on the fracas that followed City's 2-1 win.
Up to 20 players and coaching staff were alleged to have been involved in a bust-up.
It was triggered when United boss Jose Mourinho went to the City dressing room to tell jubilant City players to tone down their celebrations that he felt were disrespectful.
Bellerin to Juventus
12:00: Juventus want to sign Hector Bellerin from Arsenal.
Right-back Bellerin has been linked with a move back to his boyhood club Barcelona in recent months.
But Italian newspaper Tuttosport claim Juve are now considering a bid for the 22-year-old.
Juve have failed to adequately replace Dani Alves at right-back after the Brazilian left them for PSG last summer.

United were SCARED of City - Shearer
11:00: Manchester United were scared of Manchester City yesterday, according to BBC Sport pundit Alan Shearer.
Asked on MOTD2 if the title race is over, Shearer said: "I think it is, yeah. I think it was a game that United had to win today to have a realistic chance of winning the title.
"But I thought there was a gulf in class today. I thought the way they kept hold of the ball, the way they closed Man United down, Manchester City when they lost the ball.
"I felt as if United played with a fear. It might have looked an attacking team with the players he [Mourinho] had in it but it was in no way attacking.
"Particularly in the first half, the number of times they resorted to long ball and no one within 30 or 40 yards of Romelu Lukaku. I thought there was a gulf in class."
Imbula to Torino
10:00: Serie A club Torino are said to be ready to launch a third pursuit of Stoke's midfielder.
The Italian side were close to a deal last January and tried again in the summer to cut a deal with the Potters.
But according to the Stoke Sentinel, reports in Italy suggest they could be looking to make another bid for the 25-year-old, who is currently on a long-term loan at Toulouse in Ligue 1.
Late Fellaini talks
09:00: Manchester United have held talks with Marouane Fellaini in a last-ditch attempt to get him to sign a new deal, the Sun reports.
The midfielder is free to talk to European clubs in January and is being eyed up by sides such as Paris St-Germain and Besiktas, the paper says.
Courtois/De Gea boost!
08:00: Real Madrid have agreed a deal to sign Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga - ending their interest in David De Gea and Thibaut Courtois.
Spanish newspaper Marca claim Zinedine Zidane’s side will pay Arrizabalaga’s £17.6million buyout clause in the first week of January.
The talented 23-year-old will sign a six-year deal worth £2.2million.
News of Arrizabalaga’s arrival will delighted Manchester United and Chelsea, who frequently saw De Gea and Courtois linked with mega-money departures.
Champions League draw
07:00: The five English clubs who created history by qualifying for the Champions League knockout stages will learn their fate when the draw for the last 16 is held in Nyon, Switzerland, this morning.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea all qualified from their respective groups, making England the first country to have five teams in the competition's last 16.
Chelsea face a daunting tie, with Paris St Germain, Barcelona and Besiktas their only possible opponents when the draw is made at UEFA's headquarters at 11am GMT.
Mourinho had milk thrown at him
06:00: Tempers flared between Manchester City and Manchester United in the aftermath of yesterday’s derby at Old Trafford.
Heated exchanges took place involving Jose Mourinho and some of City's players, it is understood, with the United boss reportedly involved in a confrontation with City goalkeeper Ederson.
Figures from United apparently took exception to the raucous manner in which City were celebrating their 2-1 success, which included playing loud music in their dressing room.
The corridor leading to the dressing rooms apparently became very congested as players and staff made their way through it after the game, and tensions spilled over into pushing and shoving.
City coach Mikel Arteta is understood to have suffered a cut to the head in the fracas, while Mourinho apparently shouted into the City dressing room.
There have also been reports milk and water were thrown at Mourinho.
Bale agrees to leave
05:00: Gareth Bale has reportedly agreed terms to leave Real Madrid next summer.
The Daily Mail says reports in Spain suggest the forward reached an agreement during a meeting between president Florentino Perez and his agent Jonathan Barnett.
The paper says Manchester United and his former club Tottenham are the front-runners to sign him in a return to the Premier League.

Griezmann blow
05:00: Barcelona have reportedly beaten Manchester United to the signing of Antoine Griezmann.
The France international was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford leading up to this past summer transfer window.
But Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban was upheld, leading to Griezmann announcing he would remain at Atletico due to the fact they would be unable to bring in a replacement.
And they may have to look for an alternative for Griezmann.
That’s because El Gol Digital claim the 26-year-old has a verbal agreement in place to join Barcelona.
Giroud told he’s going nowhere
03:00: Olivier Giroud has been told by Arsene Wenger that he will not be sold in the January transfer window.
The France international came off the bench to salvage a point for Arsenal in yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Southampton.
Just like last season, Giroud has struggled to find regular first team football at the Emirates and is yet to start a Premier League game this campaign.
He was reportedly close to joining Everton in the summer and his lack of game time has once again led to speculation surrounding his future.
But Wenger has insisted the striker is still a valuable member of his squad and will not be sold next month.
Wenger said: “In your question is the answer, because you say he is important, why should we lose an important player?”
Luke Shaw demands large payout to leave Old Trafford
01.00: Luke Shaw has demanded a £5million severance package to leave Old Trafford, according to reports.
It is widely thought that the Red Devils will try to offload Shaw in the January window.
However, his wages of £130,000-a-week, around £7m-a-year, would put off most suitors, either that or the 22-year-old would have to take a pay-cut to leave the club.
According to the Sun, United are hoping to recoup £20m for his signature.
But they are only willing to pay £2m to cover his loss of earnings if he was to move elsewhere.
That figure is apparently £3m shy of what Shaw demands.

Pjanic to Barcelona
20.00: Barcelona are weighing up a move for Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic, instead of Philippe Coutinho, according to reports.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Barca know a deal for Coutinho will be complicated so they have begun to look at other options.
Pjanic is the newest name on the Catalan side’s transfer wishlist and he is reportedly keen on a move to the Nou Camp.
However, there are some reservations about him making the move in January - namely that he will be cup tied for the Champions League.
It is said he will cost in the region of £45m.
Kone to Everton?
19:15: Everton will be given the chance to sign Sunderland defender Lamine Kone on the cheap.
Toffees manager Sam Allardyce is considering a January move for the Ivory Coast international.
According to The Sun, he will look to bring Kone to Goodison Park if he proves his fitness.
Sunderland chiefs are happy to sanction a cut-price deal to get him off their wage bill.
Jose wants Milinkovic-Savic
17.40: Jose Mourinho is preparing to pay a club record £95million to lure Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Old Trafford.
Mourinho has had his scouts checking out the Serbian international and has decided that he wants to bring him to Old Trafford next summer.
But he will be forced to pay out more than the then world record £89.3million that they paid Juventus to re-sign Paul Pogba in August 2016.
Milinkovic-Savic only cost Lazio £16 million from Belgian side Genk in 2015 but is now one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe.
Manchester City have also been keeping tabs on the player along with Juventus but it is now United who are leading the race to sign him.
Arsenal identify options
17.15: Arsenal want to sign Paris Saint-Germain's Goncalo Guedes next summer as they look for replacements for Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal are facing up to the prospect of losing Sanchez and Ozil in 2018 after failing to reach an agreement with the pair.
Despite months of discussions, neither player has committed their future and both could leave for free transfers.
Arsene Wenger has tried to give a positive outlook on the situation but behind the scenes, there is an acknowledgment Sanchez and Ozil are likely to depart.
And according to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are hopeful they can sign Guedes from PSG by taking advantage of their financial situation.
Guedes is currently on a season-long loan at Valencia where he has impressed alongside another loanee, Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira.
The report says PSG will need to offload players in the summer to meet UEFA’s demands.
De Gea makes Real demand
17.00: David de Gea has told Real Madrid he will leave Manchester United in the summer for a £250,000-a-week contract, according to reports in Spain.
De Gea has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid ever since his switch to the Bernabeu fell through in 2015.
The Manchester United No 1 has reportedly not given up hope of returning to Spain where he began his career with Atletico Madrid.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim he has once again been in contact with Real president Florentino Perez.
He is said to have held talks with the Bernabeu chief and told him he will leave Old Trafford for a £250,000-a-week contract.
However, the report suggests De Gea’s ‘come and get me’ plea may have fallen on deaf ears as Real are pursuing other targets.
Coutinho limit
16.45: Barcelona have set themselves a Philippe Coutinho limit for January.
According to Spanish publication Don Balon Barcelona are not ready to pay over the odds during the season.
Reports yesterday claimed Liverpool would be willing to discuss a deal for £120million.
But Barcelona are now reported to be willing to pay no more than £87m in the January window.
It is claimed they will consider alternatives if that is not enough and come back to Liverpool with another offer in the summer.
Barca made Coutinho their No 1 target in the summer and had three bids rejected, but are preparing another approach for next month.
Chelsea meeting
16.30: Chelsea have held a meeting over their pursuit of Leon Bailey, according to the Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old is on the Blues’ radar as they look to add more fire-power in January.
Antonio Conte wants more options up top and is not convinced by Michy Batshuayi.
The Belgium striker could be sent out on loan with Bailey potentially coming in in January.
