Three day Industrial expo held

In a move to help the youth of the State start up their own business, SIIDCUL Manufacturers’ Association is hosting a three-day Industrial Expo at Prem Nagar Ashram on Chandracharya Chowk, commencing from December 15, which would see participation of industrialists from across the country and Germany.  Workshops on skill development would be held too and the participating industrialists would make presentations which would help the youngsters of the State start  their own business ventures, say the organisers, adding that the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat would inaugurate it.

Addressing a Press conference here on Monday, chairman of SIIDCUL Manufacturers’ Association Harendra Garg said, “The Expo is being hosted with the objective of helping the youth turn into entrepreneurs with stress on skill development. Besides, it would acquaint the local manufacturers with the latest technology. The traders and manufacturers would get a chance to interact with some Germany-based  entrepreneurs too.”

While the CM would inaugurate it on December 15 the State BJP president Ajay Bhatt would be present on the second day and the State Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj would be present on the concluding day.

Jatin Agarwal of SIIDCUL -based Arogya Formulations said that nearly 165 exhibitors would be there while the number of visitors would cross 15,000 mark.  The exhibitors would be mainly from petro-chemical industries, fire and safety units, electrical and electronics units, utilities and packaging aside from banking, pharmaceuticals and automation, Agarwal said, adding that the ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises Uttarakhand would pitch up stall, showcasing small scale manufacturing ventures from  across Uttarakhand.
