Market Now: Dr. Reddy's Lab, Divi's Lab pull Nifty Pharma index up

NEW DELHI: Pharma stocks Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (up 3.26 per cent), Divi's Laboratories (up 3.19 per cent), Lupin (up 0.75 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (up 0.41 per cent) were trading in the green in Tuesday's trade, pulling the Nifty Pharma index marginally up.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.06 per cent up at 9,192 around 11 am (IST).

However, shares of Piramal Enterprises (down 1.98 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 0.82 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (down 0.81 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals (down 0.57 per cent) and Cipla (down 0.55 per cent) were trading in the negative zone around that time.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 48 points down at 10,274, while the BSE Sensex was 119 points down at 33,336.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of Dr Reddy's Labs, Vedanta, GAIL, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Hindalco and Reliance Industries were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation, Bharti Infratel, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Bharti Airtel and Eicher Motors were losing in trade.
