Two killed in accidents on nat’l highway

Vadodara: Three persons died on Monday in roads accident reported in and around the city.


Shiva Parmar (35) was mowed down by a tanker registered in Mumbai on national highway-8 near Waghodiya bridge. Parmar was returning home in Desar taluka from his uncle's house in Bharuch on bike. Eye-witnesses told police that Parmar's body was stuck in the tanker's body and dragged for a few metres. Parmar worked as a labourer.


In another accident, Ashutosh Shah (23), working in a private firm in Nandesari, died when he was returning home from work on Monday evening. Shah's father Dr Pritesh said that an unknown vehicle ran over him near the gate of Darjipura Air Force station, killing him on the spot.


Dinesh Patil (40), a photographer living in Natraj Township in Sayajigunj, who had met with an accident on December 5, died during treatment at SSG Hospital on Monday night. Patil had met received head injuries after his bike had slipped in Akota.
