Paresh went missing, on Wednesday, after a fight that took place between a biker and an auto rickshaw driver, which later led to a mob violence in the town. Mesta was trying to escape the violence but couldn't. His body was noticed by a passer-by, near the Shetty Lake behind Shani temple, who later informed the police.
Police reports said, "Autopsy contradicts the torture allegation. There was no evidence of assault or any mutilation, including castration or any injury due to chemicals. The man's face was discoloured not because of burns, but because of decay."
Following Paresh's death, the number of police personal in the town were increased to avoid further violence.

During the protest, a senior police officer's car was torched by the protesters on Monday afternoon.
Even though the current situation is tense, shops and schools are functioning normally in Honnavar.
"A desperate @BJP4Karnataka stoops so low as to use the unfortunate death of a youth Paresh Mesta in Honnavar for political gains. BJP leaders are heeding the advice of @AmitShah to create trouble & invite police action. People are getting hurt by their irresponsible acts," CM Siddaramaiah tweeted.
The BJP also submitted a memorandum to Governor Vajubhai Vala and demanded an NIA probe into the murder of BJP/RSS workers.
At the same time Sirsi saw a clash between two groups. The situation turned tense after the pro-Hindu organizations called for a bandh. Karnataka is going to polls next year.
