A controversy has erupted after a senior Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MLA Simon Marandi organised a kissing competition for tribals. The MLA claimed that the contest will help promote love and modernity in the tribal society. However, a large number of people and leaders have condemned this move and said this competition has brought disrepute to the Adivasi society.
