Tehran’s traffic congestion, long rush hours and the intolerable air pollution in the recent years are some of the problems facing the citizens of this city. These days many citizens of this 15 million people mega-city rather use the public transport system, such as Bus rapid transit (BRT) or metro to get to work and around the city.
Shabesh.com, an online real estate portal in Iran which had previously launched its map feature about 4 months ago, has now added a new feature which allows the user to quickly find apartments or commercial buildings to rent or buy with a convenient access to public transport. This new feature is essentially an additional search filter which allows the user to find a place near the public transport systems.
Using this new feature, renters and buyers can compare the average rental prices around different stations to help narrow down their search even more.
“While still many measures need to be taken directly by the transport infrastructure in Tehran, adaptation of public transport has become much faster in the city as people are trying to avoid traffic. Therefore we decided to add this feature because we believe public transport plays a big role in today’s real estate transactions,” says Shahriar Hojabr, Founder and CEO of Shabesh.
Shabesh launched its website and application in January 2016. This platform charges agents a monthly subscription fee to be able to list and get professional services. The system is currently available in Tehran, but this startup plans to expand its services to other parts of the country soon.
