AYUSH doctors take part in five- day workshop on Yoga Naturopathy

The AYUSH doctors based in the State are participating in a five- day workshop on Yoga Naturopathy that has started at Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalay on Monday which is being attended by the AYUSH  doctors from Haryana too. The doctors are being taught here  about how Hath Yoga, Patanjali Yoga, Marma Chikitsa and therapeutic uses of Yoga can cure diseases.

In the inaugural session, Padma Shri awardee Bharat Bhushan of Mokshyatan International Yogashram  based in Saharanpur said that Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalay has played a great role in  propagating the knowledge of Yoga across the world in the form of formal education. “Yoga not just helps us develop ourselves spiritually but  makes our bodies stronger. The more it spreads the healthier would be the man,” he said while urging all the therapists to empty their minds to learn this technique.

Assistant director of Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy, Rajeev Rastogi said, “Indian mode of the treatment is the need of the hour. Yoga curing many ailments,  the Ayush doctors must have full knowledge of Yoga. It is a matter of great satisfaction for us that  Ayurveda is again gaining ground across the world.  Yoga and Ayurveda go hand in hand in  making a healthy society.” 

Director of National Open School Pavan Chauhan said that Yoga has been handed down to the people by the  Rishis and Munis of yore  who realized  its efficacy in making the people healthy both in the spiritual and physical sense. “The science of Ayurveda is incomplete without Yoga. Yoga being our proud heritage, it must be conserved and rejuvenated,” he said.

The coordinator of the workshop Prof Ishwar Bhargwaj said that the doctors being trained here would take it to the  villages. He thanked the participants from  Haryana , saying that the workshop would script a new history in the realm of yogic cure of ailments.
