New Yorker Fires "Star" Political Reporter Ryan Lizza For "Improper Sexual Conduct"

New Yorker Fires Star Political Reporter Ryan Lizza For Improper Sexual ConductRemember Ryan Lizza? He is the New Yorker's up and rising, and according to many "star" political reporter - as well as CNN analyst - who rose to prominence in July when he published the full transcript of former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci tirade-laced, offon-the-record phone call, in which the Mooch slammed Bannon (who was “trying to suck [his] own cock”) and Priebus (who is a "fucking paranoid schizophrenic") and which led to Scaramucci's resignation just days after his appointment.

Or rather, he was the New Yorker's "star" political reporter, because as Politico's Michael Calderone first reported, "*The New Yorker has severed ties with Ryan Lizza in response to behavior the magazine believes to be “improper sexual conduct."*

The full statement:

"The New Yorker recently learned that Ryan Lizza engaged in what we believe was improper sexual conduct. We have reviewed the matter and, as a result, have severed ties with Lizza. Due to a request for privacy, we are not commenting further."

Considering that Lizza was anonymously accused of improper behavior in the secret “Shitty Media Men” list passed around by female journalists earlier this fall, his downfall is perhaps not that surprising.

As the Daily Beast notes, while normally quite active on social media and cable news, Lizza had been rather silent in recent weeks. He has not appeared on CNN, where he is a contributor, since November 22; and aside from a smattering of retweets, his normally buzzing Twitter feed has been absent of reporting or commentary since around the same time.

Meanwhile, as the media desperately tries to redirect from the fading Russian collusion story to "Trump grabbing women by the pussy" again, the irony is that the media itself is increasingly falling victim to the very same thing. And speaking of which, where is the NYT's Glenn Thrush these days?
