Comedian Hannibal Buress was likely referencing his time spent in handcuffs when he tweeted a GIF Sunday afternoon that said, "HANNIBAL BUSTIN' THROUGH."
The tweet came hours after Buress was arrested in Miami Saturday night for disorderly intoxication, according to the Miami Herald and TMZ.
"What am I detained for?" Buress, 34, repeatedly asks in a viral video that appears to show the arrest. "I'm not doing anything, I'm not getting in the car. You don't have probable cause for anything and you look hella stupid right now," he says, before an officer directs Buress into a cop car.
According to the Herald, police records indicate that Buress was booked into a Miami-Dade jail by 2 a.m. Sunday and posted bail by 6 a.m.
Buress is best known for his stand-up comedy, his character Lincoln on Broad City and for his roles in recent movies Baywatch and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The comedian's representatives and the Miami-Dade Police Department didn't immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for comment on the incident.
