GURGAON: In a move to check corruption, Huda has banned entry of property dealers and agents inside their Sector 14 office. Additionally, Huda has also stationed security guards outside rooms of clerks and assistants to regulate the movement of outsiders.

As per the new instructions issued by Huda, only allottees, owners of Huda plots, or their authorised representatives, will get entry inside the office. Even the relatives of officials will have to make entry in a register, along with the purpose of visit.

"The register will be checked on daily basis," said estate officer-I Sanjeev Singhla, adding that they have also been receiving complaints following these restrictions. He urged people to directly meet him in office in between 9am to 1.30pm in case they face any problems and avoid dealing with clerks and other officials.

"All officials have been directed to follow the citizen charter and clear the file in stipulated time," said Singhla, adding that any complaints against employees will be dealt with strictly.

The steps to check corruption have been taken in view of the recent raid at the Huda office in Panchkula by the Haryana chief minister's flying squad.

In October, Huda had decided to deduct the salary of officials if they were found to have delayed clearing of allottee's file. On November 15, five employees of Huda, including two junior engineers, were suspended for increasing pendency on Public Property Management (PPM) system — an online system for processing applications for any Huda-related work.

After the passage of Haryana Right to Service Act 2014, Public Property Management (PPM) system was introduced which covers 14 services mentioned in the citizen charter. Under this system, file of an allottee is submitted in a single window system, following which allottees get an ID and a password to track the movement of their file on Huda's official website. The system is also linked with CM e-Dash board through which the chief minister's office can monitor the pendency.
