Mohammad Hanifa of Tenkasi, who was arrested in connection with the planting of a pipe bomb at Tirumangalam and Auditor Ramesh murder case, appeared before the Principal District and Sessions Court here on Monday.
After hearing the case, Principal District Judge K. Murali Sankar adjourned the case and posted it to December 18 for next hearing.
Earlier, the High Court had granted conditional bail to him and directed him to sign in Dindigul Sessions Court.
The prosecution said that a team of police personnel from Madurai apprehended Nagoor Hanifa alias Mohammad Hanifa (35), from a hideout at Batlagundu in Dindigul district in 2015.
When the special team, led by DSP Karthikeyan, attempted to arrest him, he had reportedly assaulted him in order to escape.
