Metro line to Airport gets Cabinet nod

The State Cabinet on Monday cleared metro connectivity to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA).

The 29.8 km link connecting Nagawara to KIA will cost Rs 5,950 crore.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Law Minister T B Jayachandra said will have seven stations and a deadline of 2021 has been set to complete the project.

The airport line which will be an extension of the Gottigere-Nagawara line of Phase-II and will have pass through Hegde Nagar, Jakkur, Yelahanka (Kogilu Cross) and Chikkajala before terminating at the airport.
