Roy Moore expected at rally after disappearing from campaign trail

Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore has a rally scheduled Monday night in Dale County in the Wiregrass — a region key to his chances — with former President Trump adviser Steve Bannon and U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas. In the last few days before the Dec. 12 election for Alabama’s junior U.S. Senate seat, the Republican candidate has all but vanished from the public, continuing a pattern of absence that took hold after allegations of sexual abuse, assault, harassment and misconduct against him surfaced in early November. Moore has now been accused by nine women.

New snowfall expected to hit Northeast, Midwest, following weekend storm

New snowfall is expected to sweep across the Northeast and upper Midwest early this week on the heels of a major winter storm that blanketed parts of the South and Mid-Atlantic. The National Weather Service issued winter weather advisories in connection with the expected snowfall for parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and other states. Localized snow accumulations of up to a foot are expected from Monday to Wednesday in parts of the Northeast, according to National Weather Service predictions. The new snowfall affecting northern states will follow Winter Storm Benji, which caused at least three deaths, led to hundreds of flight cancellations and left thousands without power as it moved through the South late last week.

'Green Monday' brings last minute holiday deals

Still in search of holiday gifts? This week's big shopping day is perfect for procrastinators. An online "shopping holiday," the term "Green Monday" was coined by eBay in 2007 because it historically was one of the e-commerce giant's best sales days. While not as big as Black Friday or Cyber Monday, its close proximity to Christmas means many other big retailers — including Target, Walmart and Kohl's — will have deals to entice your business. Need help sorting through the madness? We've got you covered.
