GURUGRAM: The education department has asked all private schools to submit Form 6 by December 31, if they want to increase the fee in the 2018-19 session. The schools will have to disclose the processing and proposed fee in the Form 6..
The Form 6 is submitted by the schools to the education department within a stipulated time and should contain details of the fee charged by them. It is a practice which takes place every year, but this time the education department will take action if this form is not submitted.
The department said that the schools which are planning to raise the fee will also have to show which funds are being raised and for what purpose. Then the education department will decide if the fee hike has to be approved or not.
The schools can increase fee by 10 to 15 percent. If any school increases the fee beyond prescribed percentage, then Fee and Fund Regulatory Committee (FFRC) can take necessary action.
